Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee water and wastewater facility operations in Pennsylvania. You will supervise operators, manage sampling, dosing, and compliance activities, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

This role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with MS Excel; PA license is preferred with a two-year attainment window. On-call duties and collaboration with multiple departments are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of water treatment operations experience; supervisory preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania State and Federal drinking laws and regulations.
• PA Class A Water license preferred; must obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise well operators and daily functions, including visits to wells/tanks/boosters, dosing calculations, and sampling.
• Coordinate with staff to resolve monitoring/control issues; ensure modifications are tested and functional.
• Manage capital projects and vendor coordination; oversee data recording for reporting and analysis.
• Oversee scheduling, performance management, and quality of work for assigned staff.
• Support regulatory compliance and water quality monitoring across the distribution system.
• Provide on-call coverage 24/7 for emergencies and incidents.
