Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking an Operations Team Leader for the White Haven Division. You will oversee facilities, supervise operators, manage budgets, and drive safety and regulatory compliance to ensure reliable water and wastewater service.

You will lead staffing, training, and performance reviews, while coordinating with engineering and local agencies. A degree in a related field and DEP certifications are preferred or must be obtained within 48 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in water or wastewater utility operations and/or supervision.
• Proficiency in professional communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• DEP Water and Wastewater Operator certifications or ability to obtain within 48 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise facility operators, seasonal employees, and contractors with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Interview and hire staff, set performance standards, manage onboarding and training.
• Oversee the work order process and ensure timely closeout and correct coding.
• Manage budgets, invoices, and procurement tied to the division’s operations.
• Maintain operability of water and wastewater assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
