Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Plant Supervisor to lead operations staff at our Pennsylvania facilities. You will supervise daily well and plant operations, coordinate with managers, manage vendors, and ensure regulatory compliance and water quality.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in water treatment, a technical degree (associate or higher preferred), strong Excel skills, and PA Class A Water license (preferred, must obtain within 2 years).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years' supervisory experience in water treatment operations.
• Strong knowledge of PA and federal drinking laws.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise well operators daily functions including visits to wells/tanks/boosters and sampling.
• Coordinate with staff to resolve monitoring/control issues and test modifications.
• Compile records and maintain data for reporting and analysis.
• Order and maintain inventory of supplies for oversite.
• Manage capital projects and coordinate with departments and contractors.
• Troubleshoot water quality monitoring equipment and pumps.
• Supervise staff for scheduling, performance management, and quality of work.
• Monitor water quality data and regulatory compliance in distribution systems.
• Evaluate impact of capital improvements on water quality and compliance.
• Coordinate sampling plans with Laboratory Manager to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Provide support to operational groups across the state for the ONE-PA Initiative.
