Job summary

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch is seeking a full-time Water/Wastewater Operator I to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair the water and wastewater systems that keep our community safe and productive. On-site work, rotating on-call shifts, and a strong safety culture are core to this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current TCEQ Class C Groundwater Operator License or Class C Wastewater Treatment Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair the City's water supply, treatment and distribution systems, and wastewater treatment and collection facilities.
• Inspect and repair wells, reservoirs, pumping stations, meters, chlorination systems, pumps, valves, and other treatment equipment.
• Monitor system performance, take meter readings, maintain records, assist with treatment processes, and ensure safety and reliability.
