City of Fair Oaks Ranch is seeking a Full-Time Water/Wastewater Operator I to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair the City’s water and wastewater systems. This onsite position emphasizes safety, reliability, and service to the community.

You will monitor system performance, take meter readings, assist with treatment processes, and work with licensed operators. A rotational on-call schedule and outdoor conditions are part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience related to construction, maintenance, or repair.
• Current TCEQ Class C Groundwater Operator License or Class C Wastewater Treatment Operator License.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Class A CDL within six months of employment.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding fieldwork.
• Ability to work around hazards (mechanical, electrical, chemical).

Responsabilités

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair the City's water supply, treatment and distribution systems, and wastewater facilities.
• Inspect and repair wells, reservoirs, pumping stations, meters, chlorination systems, and other equipment.
• Monitor system performance and take meter readings; maintain records and assist with treatment processes.
• Install and repair water mains, service connections, valves, hydrants, pipes, and fittings; assist with inventory control.
• Operate trucks and other construction equipment; participate in rotational on-call schedule.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and adhere to safety protocols.
