Job summary

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch is seeking a dedicated Water/Wastewater Operator I to join our on-site team. This full-time role supports our water supply, treatment, and distribution and wastewater facilities with hands-on work and adherence to safety standards.

Starting annual salary is $48,468.00, plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 2:1 City match in the Texas Municipal Retirement System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of construction, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Current Texas Class C Groundwater or Wastewater License required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License; eligibility for Class A CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair water and wastewater systems.
• Monitor performance, take readings, and maintain records.
• Inspect wells, reservoirs, pumping stations, meters, and treatment equipment.
• Install/repair water mains, valves, hydrants, and fittings when needed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and participate in on-call rotations.
