Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a field-oriented Water/Wastewater Operator to support clients in the Somerset, PA area. The role is remote but requires residence in or relocation to Somerset, PA, and involves travel to sites for evaluations and maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating, monitoring, sampling, and optimizing treatment facilities; performing preventive maintenance; and ensuring compliance with EPA/OSHA standards. A PA license or path to license is required.

Qualifications

PA Water/Wastewater license or ability to obtain within one year.
Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and chemical feeds.
Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
Ability to lift and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Travel to client sites to perform operational evaluations of water and wastewater facilities.
Monitor and evaluate treatment system performance and process control systems.
Collect, test, and analyze water samples; interpret results for compliance.
Review and optimize treatment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on treatment and distribution systems.
Inspect and repair mechanical and electrical components; respond to alarms.
