Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a part-time Water/Wastewater Operator to support treatment plants and field services. You will travel to client sites, monitor performance, collect samples, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and prepare concise reports for project managers, using CMMS/SCADA systems where required.

PA license (or ability to obtain in 12 months), valid driver’s license, and willingness to work outdoors in Somerset, PA area are required. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in water or wastewater operations, system maintenance, or related environmental services preferred.
• PA license or ability to obtain within one year is required.
• Working knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and sampling.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to evaluate or operate WTP/WWTP facilities and related infrastructure.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment system performance; interpret results for compliance.
• Collect, test, and analyze water and wastewater samples; prepare written reports.
• Review and optimize treatment processes and dosing for efficiency and reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on treatment and distribution systems.
