Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a field-position professional in Kittanning, PA to operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants, monitor effluent quality, and ensure compliance with DEP regulations. The role requires working knowledge of sampling, preservation, and paperwork, with strong safety awareness.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED and PA operator certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 years.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Current PA water/wastewater operator certification or must pass test within 3 years (full-time).
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Visit contracted treatment plants as required.
• Conduct operation & maintenance of treatment plants and assess effluent quality under supervisor guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of sample handling, storage and drinking water requirements.
• Stay current on sample bottles, preservation and related requirements.
• Follow safety procedures and quality control policies.
• Interact with DEP officials as required.
• Develop good relationships with customers/plant owners.
• Coordinate multiple tasks and analyze complex data.
