Job summary

Candidates should have water/wastewater operations experience and can obtain a Pennsylvania Operator License within one year. The position is part-time, remote, near Somerset, PA, with relocation if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater plant operations or related environmental services.
• Ability to obtain PA license within one year.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to perform evaluations of WTP/WWTP facilities and related infrastructure.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment system performance, including pumps, motors, meters, gauges, and control systems.
• Collect, test, and analyze water and wastewater samples; interpret results to assess performance and compliance.
• Review and optimize treatment processes, including chemical feed systems and dosing.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on treatment and distribution systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components such as pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Record and maintain accurate operational data, logs, and inspection reports.
• Prepare clear written reports and communicate findings and corrective actions to supervisors and project managers.
