Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Fort Myers, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is an on-site position focused on design, project management, and client collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a P.E. license (or be eligible within 12 months), experience with water/wastewater facilities and hydraulic modeling, and a track record of delivering quality projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or eligible to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience in municipal design including pump stations and water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling (WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/InfoWater).
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems and treatment facilities.
• Manage project tasks, designs, permitting, and coordination with staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to complete projects.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of plans; review others' work.
• Develop work plans within budget and track progress.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulators to meet requirements.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Build internal and external professional relationships.
