Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation in Oregon is seeking a Civil Engineer–oriented Summer Intern to contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will read project design guides, work with multidisciplinary teams, and gain hands-on experience across projects and disciplines.

As an intern, you will support basic engineering tasks, participate in onboarding, and learn to apply design tools and digital delivery methods in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• No experience required; currently enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
• ABET accreditation required for program.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity reading design guides, standards, and codes.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to support water and wastewater projects.
• Performs routine calculations and assists with schedules, cost estimates, and deliverables.
• Supports project leadership by addressing internal client needs.
• Applies engineering software and digital delivery methods.
