Black & Veatch invites a Summer Intern to contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects across multiple locations, including Phoenix. You’ll gain hands-on experience while supporting design teams and learning industry-standard engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ABET accredited Civil Engineering program with emphasis in Structural, Environmental, Transportation, or Geotechnical.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams to support design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
• Assists with development of project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering deliverables to support successful project execution.
