Job summary

Consor in Portland, OR is looking for a Water & Wastewater Engineering Designer to help plan and design municipal water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities.

You will develop detailed CAD designs, perform hydraulic analyses, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to permitting and construction‑phase services. This hybrid role requires 2–6 years of experience and an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, profiles, and construction plan sets using CAD.
• Assist with engineering design calculations, hydraulic analyses, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field investigations and utility verification to collect data.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and teams to develop constructible designs.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, exhibits, reports, and supporting calculations.
• Support permitting, utility coordination, and construction‑phase services (RFIs, submittals, revisions).
• Participate in quality control reviews of deliverables.
• Support project delivery from planning through bidding and construction.
