Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer in Portland, OR to plan and design critical municipal infrastructure, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. You’ll produce detailed CAD drawings, perform hydraulic analyses, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure constructible designs.

The role requires a BS in an engineering discipline, 2–6 years of experience, and an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 2–6 years of water and wastewater engineering experience with a consulting firm or public agency.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, profiles, and construction plan sheets for water distribution, wastewater collection, and water resource infrastructure projects using CAD software.
• Assist with design calculations, hydraulic analyses, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates to support project planning and delivery.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and utility verification activities to collect data and confirm existing conditions for design development.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate, complete, and constructible engineering designs.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, technical exhibits, design reports, and supporting calculations in accordance with company and client standards.
• Support permitting, utility coordination, and construction-phase activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and preparing design revisions as needed.
