Job summary

Consor seeks a Water & Wastewater Engineering Designer to help design essential water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems. You will develop detailed CAD drawings and construction documents, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant designs.

The role combines office CAD work with field data collection, requires 2–6 years of experience, a BS in an engineering field, and an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, profiles, and construction plan sets for water and wastewater projects using CAD software.
• Assist with engineering design calculations, hydraulic analyses, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field investigations and utility verification activities to collect data for design development.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop accurate, complete designs.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, design reports, and supporting calculations.
• Support permitting, utility coordination, and construction‑phase services, including RFIs and submittals.
• Participate in quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support project delivery from planning through bidding and construction.
