Consor in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Water & Wastewater Engineering Designer to plan and design critical municipal infrastructure, including water distributions, wastewater systems, and treatment facilities. You will produce detailed CAD drawings and collaborate with engineers to deliver construction-ready documents.

The role combines office design work with field verification in a hybrid setting, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills and a commitment to community impact.

Competenze

• 2 to 6 years of water and wastewater engineering experience with a consulting firm, municipality, or public agency.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred, but not required.

Mansioni

• Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, profiles, and construction plan sets for water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment, and water resources infrastructure projects using CAD software.
• Assist with engineering design calculations, hydraulic analyses, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates to support project planning and delivery.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and utility verification activities to collect data and confirm existing conditions for design development.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate, complete, and constructible engineering designs.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, technical exhibits, design reports, and supporting calculations in accordance with company and client standards.
• Support permitting efforts, utility coordination, and construction-phase services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and preparing design revisions as needed.
• Participate in quality control reviews to help ensure the accuracy and consistency of project deliverables.
• Support project delivery from initial planning and design through bidding and construction.
