Job summary
CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Providence team and help deliver water and environmental infrastructure projects that enhance communities.
You will work on a diverse portfolio, performing studies, planning efforts, and design projects across drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, with mentorship from senior staff and opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the FE exam within 18 months of hire.
- 5 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits, field reviews, and planning studies to evaluate client challenges and support future designs.
- Perform water quality and hydraulic analyses and modeling to inform infrastructure planning and design decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.
- Meet with clients to discuss existing systems, future needs, and project opportunities.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by other engineering disciplines in support of project delivery.
