Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Massachusetts. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
• Perform site assessments and field investigations to support project design and development.
• Assist with water quality analyses, engineering calculations, and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Adjust design parameters and develop solutions based on project requirements, site conditions, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Develop drawings, maps, presentations, and other project materials using tools such as ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to presentations for clients, industry conferences, and other stakeholders.
• Support construction management activities and participate in fieldwork, providing exposure to projects from initial planning and design through construction.
