Job summary
CDM Smith is seeking an experienced civil/environmental/chemical engineer to design water and wastewater facilities, pipelines and related infrastructure in a dynamic, client-focused environment. The role requires a PE license and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with travel as needed.
The successful candidate will contribute to complex projects, review designs for regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff, while collaborating with sales for RFP responses.
Qualifications
- PE license and 10 years related experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develops water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure.
- Performs basic to high-complexity engineering design to meet client needs.
- Reviews designs for compliance with regulations; signs off.
- Performs site reviews to align designs with location specs.
- Develops technical papers and design documentation.
- Collaborates with sales to prepare proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Mentors junior staff and may supervise engineers.
