Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineering Intern in Providence, RI to gain hands-on experience on real-world water and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on a diverse portfolio and contribute to project analyses, reports, and design.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Seeking hands-on engineering experience on water and infrastructure projects.
• Desire to learn and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate engineering solutions to support project analyses, reporting and design.
• Assist with development of engineering calculations, technical reports, project documentation, and presentations.
• Gain hands-on experience using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CAD, Excel and other engineering software.
• Work with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support project deliverables.
• Participate in team meetings and engage with client and project interactions.
• Assist with fieldwork and construction management activities across the project lifecycle.
• Build professional network while developing technical skills.
