Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in the United States. This role offers hands‑on experience in designing water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and remediation sites while learning from seasoned engineers.

You will gain exposure to multiple project stages and collaborate with teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure.
• Assist with water quality analyses, engineering calculations, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Develop drawings, maps, and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to client presentations.
• Support fieldwork and construction activities through lifecycle stages.
