Job summary

Psomas in Southern California seeks a Construction Manager for Water/Wastewater to oversee daily construction management and serve as the Owner's Project Manager representative. You will ensure on-time delivery, quality adherence, and safe field practices while coordinating with designers, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.

The role requires strong CM skills, a California PE or CCM-equivalent, 10+ years in the field, and proficiency with Primavera and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• PE license or California-licensed Civil Engineer strongly preferred; CCM may be accepted in lieu of PE.
• 10+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Knowledge of CM practices including time, cost, documentation, quality and safety.
• Experience in pipelines, pump stations, flow control facilities, treatment plants and hydro-electric facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction management and act as Owner's Project Manager representative.
• Monitor quality, plans compliance, safety, progress, budget and schedule.
• Administer contracts, review schedules, respond to claims, document progress, handle RFIs and changes.
• Coordinate with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulators; lead meetings.
• Initiate change proposals, estimate costs, negotiate with contractors, and manage monthly payments.
• Direct field staff, supervise activities, testing, surveying, and subcontracts.
• Create daily reports and recommend acceptance to the Owner's Project Manager.
