Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the CMS group on critical infrastructure projects in Northern California. You will oversee project staff, interface with owners and engineers, and drive project delivery from procurement through close-out while pursuing new business opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in municipal water/wastewater projects, 8+ years of leadership, and CCM or PMP certification (or intent to obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects (treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, tunnels).
• 8+ years of management experience including client interface, marketing, business development, planning/execution, and staff supervision.
• CCM or PMP certification required or candidates will gain CCM or PMP within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for business development and project execution.
• Develop new business opportunities related to specific clients or regions; coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of construction management staff and coordinate procurement, bid, pre-construction, construction, commissioning and close-out phases.
• Implement and monitor company safety program and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Attend industry networking events and maintain liaison with client and project team.
