Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks a Construction Manager for our CMS group in Southern California. You will oversee project staff and consultants to ensure work aligns with plans, specs, contract requirements, and client expectations.

Role interfaces with owner, contractor, engineer of record, and regulators, guiding all phases from procurement through close-out while pursuing opportunities for new business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
• 8+ years of management experience including client interface and business development.
• CCM or PMP certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage process mechanical operations in water and wastewater projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for business development and execution.
• Make decisions to improve client relationships and project profitability.
• Develop new business opportunities and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and project objectives.
• Provide oversight of construction management, contract administration, scheduling, change orders, and QA on site.
