Job summary

The role focuses on water/wastewater facilities, stormwater structures, pump stations, and related infrastructure, with daily site oversight, coordination with designers, contractors, and public agencies, and strict adherence to plans, specs, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience overseeing civil construction projects in the US.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to prepare reports and present to management and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Owner in issuing the Notice to Proceed and coordinate the Pre-Construction Meeting
• Report to the project site daily and oversee construction performance per plans and specs
• Oversee daily construction activities for stormwater diversion structures, pump stations, and related infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations
• Lead weekly OAC meetings and other required meetings
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and public agencies to resolve field issues and maintain schedule integrity
• Negotiate change orders per Public Contracts Code and Contract General Conditions
• Review and approve contractor payment requests
• Monitor progress against baselines and budgets; implement corrective actions
• Work with Inspector of Record for inspections and quality control
