Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in Pennsylvania to inspect medium to large scale water and wastewater projects in Western PA. The role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all construction phases.

The successful candidate will inspect contractor activities, maintain daily logs, and coordinate with owners and contractors during equipment start-up of treatment and pumping facilities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience inspecting water/wastewater facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the general supervision of the Construction Manager.
• Track and inspect daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
• Determine when project materials and procedures are not in compliance with plans or specifications; submit daily diaries or inspection logs.
• Provide guidance and coordination to contractors and owners during equipment start-up of treatment and pumping station facilities.
• Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinate with the contractor, owner and general public to facilitate construction operations.
