Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the Southern California area to inspect medium to large-scale Water/Wastewater projects throughout Southern CA. You will monitor daily contractor activities and ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of water/wastewater inspection experience and will work in a hybrid in-person/remote environment with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience inspecting water, wastewater, treatment, pipeline, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the general supervision of the resident engineer.
• Tracks and inspects daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
• Determines when project materials and procedures are not in compliance with plans or specifications; submits daily diaries or inspection logs.
• Inspects traffic control and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinates with the contractor and general public to facilitate construction operations.
