Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the Pennsylvania area to inspect water and wastewater projects across Eastern PA.

We focus on excellence, safety, innovation, and sustainability as we oversee every construction phase to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 5+ years of experience inspecting water/wastewater facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the supervision of the Construction Manager.
• Track daily contractor activities and record items for payment.
• Determine when materials or procedures are not in compliance; submit daily diaries/logs.
• Provide guidance to contractors and owners during equipment start-up of treatment facilities.
• Inspect traffic controls and other site items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinate with contractor, owner and public to facilitate construction operations.

What You Will Do

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the Pennsylvania area to inspect medium to large scale Water / Wastewater related projects throughout Eastern PA.

We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Serve as a construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the general supervision of the Construction Manager.
• Tracks and inspects daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
• Determines when the project materials and procedures are not in compliance with project plans or specifications. Submit daily diaries or inspection logs, detailing all daily activities, labor, and equipment.
• Provide guidance and coordination to contractors and owners during equipment start-up of treatment and pumping station facilities
• Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinates with the contractor, owner and general public, as necessary, to facilitate construction operations.

Education | Experience:

What You Will Bring To Our Firm

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
