Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in Southern California (San Bernardino & surrounding areas) to inspect water and wastewater projects across the region. The role focuses on daily inspection activities, safety compliance, and collaboration with contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience inspecting water and wastewater facilities, with strong attention to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience inspecting water and wastewater projects, including treatment, pipelines, pump stations and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a construction inspector on water and wastewater projects under the general supervision of the resident engineer.
• Track and inspect daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items and recording them for payment.
• Determine when materials or procedures are not in compliance with plans or specifications; submit daily diaries or logs.
• Inspect traffic control and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinate with the contractor and general public to facilitate construction operations.
