Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the Southern California area (San Bernardino, Riverside, Corona, Chino Hills, Lake Elsinore) to inspect medium to large water and wastewater projects throughout Southern CA.

In this capacity you will serve as a construction inspector under the resident engineer, track daily contractor activities, verify compliance with plans, and document work for payment while coordinating with the public and ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience inspecting water, wastewater, treatment, pipeline, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a construction inspector on water / wastewater projects under the general supervision of the resident engineer.
• Tracks and inspects daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
• Determines when the project materials and procedures are not in compliance with project plans or specifications. Submits daily diaries or inspection logs, detailing all daily activities, labor, and equipment.
• Inspects traffic control and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
• Coordinates with the contractor and general public, as necessary, to facilitate construction operations.
