Job summary

GFT seeks Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in Pennsylvania, inspecting medium to large water/wastewater projects across Eastern PA. We oversee site safety, daily contractor activities, and adherence to plans to ensure on-schedule, on-budget results that meet quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and 5+ years of field inspection experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license required.
5+ years of experience inspecting water/wastewater facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

Serve as a construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the general supervision of the Construction Manager.
Track and inspect daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
Determine when project materials and procedures do not comply with plans or specifications; submit daily diaries or inspection logs.
Provide guidance and coordination to contractors and owners during equipment start-up of treatment and pumping facilities.
Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance to standards.
Coordinate with the contractor, owner and general public to facilitate construction operations.
