Kimley-Horn's Vero Beach, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of municipal wastewater design experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This entry-level role offers mentorship and hands-on project exposure.

You will design pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities, support with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and collaborate with engineers and planners while developing technical writing skills. On-site role with strong benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant municipal wastewater engineering design experience.
• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with pipelines, pump stations, and hydraulic modeling.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of water transmission and distribution systems and water/wastewater facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to complete projects on time.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules for assigned tasks.
• Prepare plans, permit documentation, and technical reports.
• Support plan production and client interactions with mentorship.
