Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Colorado Springs, CO office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of municipal wastewater design experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This on-site role provides mentorship, exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

You will design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and water treatment components while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of municipal wastewater engineering design experience.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.).
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience designing pipelines, pump stations, and hydraulic modeling.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and water treatment components.
• Work on municipal water and wastewater utilities design projects.
• Manage project tasks, design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordination with team members.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to project success.
• Maintain high-quality plans and review others' work.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Receive on-the-job and formal training and mentorship.
