Job summary

Golden State Water Company is seeking a Customer Service Center Associate in SAN DIMAS, CA. The role handles diverse customer inquiries, processes payments, and supports meter reading systems and online service tools.

The position requires a high school diploma, experience in customer service (preferably in utility), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills. Some bilingual capability may be needed. Salaries are hourly with benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years relevant work experience at GSWC or five years of customer service experience in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with utility or comparable service industry, contact center systems and customer information system terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as regulations, procedure manuals, and rate schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responds professionally and effectively to customer inquiries and service requests via multiple channels.
• Creates and accesses customer records in the CIS to resolve complaints and discrepancies.
• Assists customers with online self-service and payment portal access, navigation and issues.
• Manages on-cloud meter reading route data, supports FCS Itron on Cloud and smart devices.
• Analyzes and edits meter read data with follow-up actions.
• Processes customer payments and prepares cashier reports and deposits.
• Processes new customer applications and renewals for programs (CAP, hydrant meters, etc.).
• Dispatches service and trouble calls to field personnel.
