Construction Association of Michigan in Warren, MI seeks a Water Meter and Field Utilities Technician responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing water lines, meters, valves, hydrants, and related equipment. You will operate light-to-heavy equipment and read meters for billing and customer inquiries.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Michigan CDL with endorsements, and two years of public utilities experience.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent
• Two (2) years’ experience servicing and maintaining public utilities and equipment
• Must secure and maintain an active Michigan State Health Department S-4 Operator’s License within 36 months of working in this position.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain and repair water lines and service connections and appurtenances
• Read meters for final bills and assist customers with high bill complaints
• Operate meter testing equipment and small hand tools
• Read blueprints of a relatively simple nature
• Maintain courteous relationship with the public
