Job summary

Holland Board of Public Works in Holland, MI seeks a Water/Wastewater Locator and Cross-Connection Inspector. Requires a high school diploma, valid Michigan driver’s license, and Waterworks System Operator S-4 certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read utility drawings and perform measurements.
• Must have valid Michigan Driver’s License and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate 811 Miss Dig program, handle tickets and locate underground utilities.
• Inspect water customer plumbing for cross-connection compliance.
• Install, read, repair and remove water meters across settings.
• Inspect wastewater and water mains, record measurements and details.
• Assist customers and explain the City’s claim process.
• Maintain knowledge of HBPW procedures, rates, and materials.
