Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, seeks a Water Treatment Technician for our Massillon, OH plant to maintain pumping and purification equipment, monitor SCADA, and perform lab work to ensure water quality. The role requires weekend/holiday availability and the ability to work 7:00 pm–7:00 am on rotating schedules.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays and overtime.
Proficient with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ohio EPA certifications must be obtained and maintained within specified periods after appointment.

Responsibilities

Safely operates and maintains water treatment plant equipment and processes.
Monitors and controls SCADA systems and interfaces; adjusts pumps to maintain water quality.
Performs lab testing and sampling per Ohio EPA requirements.
Maintains records and communicates treatment data to supervisors.
Assists with maintenance of facilities and security of assets.
Acts as after-hours dispatch for emergencies and complies with safety policies.
