Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Maintenance Operator at the Shenango Valley Division Water Treatment Plant. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of pumping, storage, and purification equipment, with SCADA monitoring, lab work, and record keeping.

You must have PA DEP Class A certification within 3 years, an associate degree or trade diploma, a valid U.S. drivers license, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires PA DEP Class A Water Operators Certification within 3 years.
• Associate degree or trade school diploma in technical/mechanical/math/science.
• Valid U.S. drivers license at time of hire.
• Experience or ability to operate and maintain water treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, monitor and control treatment plant equipment.
• Record data in Maintenance Connection and other databases.
• Perform sampling and lab testing and maintain records.
• Prepare reports for PA DEP and other authorities.
• Ensure safety procedures, Arc Flash/LOTO compliance.
• Work 12-hour shifts; days/nights; overtime as needed.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
