Job summary

Aqua PA Shenango Valley Division is seeking a Maintenance Operator for the water treatment plant. You will operate and maintain pumping, storage, and purification equipment, monitor SCADA, and perform daily sampling and laboratory work.

This role requires PA DEP certifications or eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and 12-hour shifts with days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Pay rate is $31.10 per hour and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must meet licensing requirements within the timeframes of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Candidate must hold PA DEP Class A Water Operators Certification with required subclasses within 3 years of hire.
• PA/Ohio EPA certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains plant equipment and processes.
• Monitors, controls, and records water treatment data.
• Performs sampling and laboratory testing and maintains records.
• Prepares reports for regulatory bodies.
• Maintains communication with division staff and afterhours dispatch for emergencies.
• Performs housekeeping and protects plant facilities.
