Job summary

Aqua PA Shenango Valley Division is seeking a Maintenance Operator to run and maintain water treatment plant equipment, monitor SCADA controls, and perform routine lab tests. The role requires technical certifications or the commitment to obtain them within stated timelines.

The position involves 12-hour shifts at the Shenango Valley Plant, with potential to report to other plants within the division. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, plus licensing

Qualifications

Requires PA DEP Class A Water Operators Certification and Ohio EPA Lab Certification within specified timeframes.
Associate or trade school diploma in technical/mechanical/math/science fields plus 2 years of relevant experience (or 4 years with a different path).
Flexible to obtain required licenses within 2 years if starting with qualifications in progress.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, monitor, and control treatment plant equipment and processes.
Record data using Maintenance Connection and other databases.
Perform lab testing and prepare regulatory reports.
Adhere to safety policies including Lock-out Tag-out and Arc Flash.
Work 12-hour shifts, including days/nights and on-call emergencies.
