Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a dedicated water treatment technician to optimize production and quality across treatment facilities in New Jersey. The role involves sampling, SCADA-based control, calibration, and coordination with operations to ensure smooth plant performance and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma with 3–5 years in water treatment, strong mechanical aptitude, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years water treatment experience preferred.
• Must obtain NJ DEP Water T-1 within two years.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples per NJDEP requirements to monitor water quality in distribution and at treatment plant.
• Calibrate and verify lab and process equipment.
• Operate day-to-day plant operations including SCADA control and process optimization.
• Maintain and repair equipment at water treatment plant and distribution system.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety procedures.
• Prepare reports as required.
