Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Water Treatment and Reclaim (WTR) organization and oversee Industrial Waste Treatment (IWT) Engineering. This senior role drives 24/7 operational excellence, safety, and innovation across water/wastewater utilities and infrastructure projects essential to semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of engineering experience in water/wastewater or facilities systems, with 6+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or large-scale manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization and set performance expectations.
• Oversee safe, efficient operations and maintenance of UPW, IWT, and water distribution systems.
• Guide site utility systems and 24/7 operations teams; drive reliability and process control improvements.
• Lead long-term capital planning and infrastructure upgrade projects; manage budgeting, procurement, and commissioning.
• Foster a proactive safety culture; ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and EHS programs.
• Mentor and develop talent; attract and retain engineering staff with a focus on engagement and innovation.
