Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a senior leader to drive regulatory strategy across its water treatment facilities. You will bridge executive strategy with on-site operations, guiding continuous improvement and ensuring compliance across multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and at least 15 years of water/wastewater compliance experience, with strong data analytics, QA/QC oversight, and leadership capabilities. Advanced degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in water/wastewater compliance, regulatory affairs, and technical process operations.
• Experience with data analytics, QA/QC program management, and laboratory oversight.
• Preferred: MS or MBA; technical MS; background in process operations, engineering, or treatment optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory leadership and bridge between strategy, requirements and on-the-ground implementation across projects.
• Lead data analytics programs to monitor system performance and drive operational improvements.
• Develop regional compliance frameworks aligned with SDWA and state/federal regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement culture across decentralized plants and drive elite industry standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors on technologies to reduce sludge and chemical use.
• Deliver technical presentations to executives, municipal clients, and site teams.
• Mentor and guide project staff on QA/QC, monitoring and reporting protocols.
• Support audits, skill-gap analyses, and training initiatives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in STEM field

15 years of water/wastewater compliance experience

Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred

Knowledge of Safe Drinking Water Act and regulatory frameworks
