Job summary

Veolia NA is seeking a Water Operator to maintain public water production and quality. The role covers monitoring demand, adjusting treatment according to lab results, and operating water plants and wells with SCADA systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and Idaho drinking water licenses; previous plant experience is preferred. The job involves shift work, outdoor work in varying weather, and strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Previous experience in water production and/or water treatment operation roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine water testing and record results.
• Monitor charts, gauges, and digital displays.
• Calibrate chemical feed rate and adjust per lab results or supervisor instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• Analyze system parameters and determine when additional help is needed.
• Monitor chemical inventory levels.
• Operate water treatment plants, wells, and ancillary equipment via SCADA.
• Follow directions from water quality personnel for sampling and schedules.
• Take on-call shifts and rotate duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and security policies.
