Job summary

Pilgrim’s Water Treatment Team is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to oversee daily operations, inspections and maintenance of the Water Treatment Dept. Responsibilities include monitoring control systems, coordinating by-product trailers, and completing required paperwork.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of water treatment operations experience, must obtain certification within 12 months, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in the operations and maintenance of Water Treatment plants.
• Must obtain Water Treatment Operator Certification within 12 months of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
• Must communicate effectively within the department and with external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and upkeep Water Treatment Dept. daily tasks and inspections.
• Monitor Water Treatment & Waste Treatment control systems and data recording.
• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping of the Water Treatment area.
• Load and move By-Product trailers and tankers; act as daily contact for deliveries.
• Complete Bill of Lading for By-products and attach security seals as required.
• Record daily test results for Water Treatment Effluent and adjust processes to stay within discharge limits.
