Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking a Plant Operator to support daily water treatment and distribution tasks across multiple sites. Under supervision, you will operate treatment equipment, adjust processes, monitor meters, document readings, and assist with maintenance and safety procedures.

You will also participate in on-call rotations, travel between worksites, and help ensure regulatory compliance and reliable utility service for our communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years mechanical experience, incl. at least 1 year chemical treatment or water utility ops.
• Prefer experience operating a backhoe or excavator.

Responsibilities

• Activate pumps, valves and equipment to move water through treatment processes.
• Assist with emergency procedures during overflows or chemical spills.
• Add chemicals per formula and monitor inventory levels.
• Read meters and gauges; adjust controls and generate reports.
• Keep logs of meter readings, chemical usage and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain plant grounds and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel between worksites; participate in on-call rotations.
