Job summary

A.O. Smith is seeking a driven sales professional to promote water heating products to plumbers and contractors within a defined market area. You will build relationships, present solutions, and drive revenue growth through field activity and partner engagement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience in sales or account management, preferably with water treatment or wholesale exposure. Local travel and a professional image are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or account management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in water treatment industry or wholesale is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit business from plumbers and contractors regularly.
• Submit written call reports weekly to management.
• Submit weekly expense envelopes to designated person.
• Co-author annual sales report with manager.
• Provide basic service and startup of equipment with proper tools.
• Represent company at local trade association meetings.
• Analyze and control expenditures to meet budgets.
• Promote the product line professionally to customers.
• Respond to sales campaigns with timely support.
• Report product/delivery/inventory issues to management.
• Maintain professional appearance reflecting the company image.
• Assist in providing requested sales data to management.
• Pursue self-improvement activities related to sales.
