Job summary

A. O. Smith Corporation is seeking a Sales Representative in Appleton, WI to promote water heating products to plumbers and contractors. The role emphasizes field sales, relationship building, and customer service across a defined market.

You will report to the NAWT business unit and participate in campaigns, trade associations, and budget-conscious selling. A Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Sales or Account Management experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Water Treatment industry or wholesale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit business from plumbers and contractors regularly.
• Submit written call reports weekly to the manager.
• Submit weekly expenses envelope to designated person.
• Co-author annual sales report with manager.
• Provide basic service and startup of equipment, with required tools.
• Represent the company at local trade association meetings to promote products.
• Analyze expenditures to meet budget requirements.
• Promote NAWT product line to existing and prospective customers.
• Respond to campaigns with timely support.
• Report product quality or delivery deficiencies to management.
• Dress and present yourself to reflect the company's image.
• Assist management with sales data requests in a timely manner.
• Pursue self-improvement in public speaking, product knowledge, and time management.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
