A.O. Smith Corp. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead the territory sales representatives across the assigned region, building relationships with key customers and driving sales growth in the water treatment arena.

The role covers VA, WV, MD, and DE, with heavy travel (60-75%). It requires a Bachelor's in Business or Marketing, 5+ years in sales, strong presentation skills, and proficiency with MS Office, plus ability to manage budgets and forecast sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Marketing is required.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience in sales or regional management.
• Solid understanding of residential and commercial water treatment industry and distribution models.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Strong communication skills, including executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional sales representatives to meet company sales and profit objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers across the channel.
• Collaborate with National Sales Channel Manager to allocate resources for growth.
• Proactively identify opportunities and empower the team to act.
• Create regional training plans for ongoing development of staff and customers.
• Represent the company at industry events and associations (WQA, NGWA, PHCC).
• Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Meet sales and expense objectives as outlined in the budget.
• Provide field leadership support and cover open territories as needed.
• Conduct quarterly reviews and planning sessions with teams and customers.
